RJ takes on the holidays with ARRAW Spider-Man limited-edition watches

Arising from the latest collaboration between Swiss watchmaker RJ and Marvel Studios, the ARRAW Spider-Man watch once again explores the universe of the Super Hero. The web-slinger’s spirit is captured at the heart of the model’s carbon case, framed by the iconic RJ BUMPERSTM of the ARRAW series. Powered by a web-like mechanical skeleton movement, the ARRAW Spider-Man watch will seduce mechanical watch lovers, pop culture fans and those seeking upscale yet nostalgic holiday gifts.

All it takes is one look to be captivated by the ARRAW Spider-Man. Its superpower? A mechanical movement that takes the form of a spider’s web. Wholly manufactured and skeletonized within RJ Studio, the RJ-3005 caliber features an openwork design shaped like a spider web and filled with red lacquer. More than an aesthetic element, the spider web is technically integrated into the movement, acting both as the main plate and the bridges. The openwork web also offers a nice view of the regulator at 6 o’clock and the barrel at 12 o’clock.

The spider web is cleverly interlaced with the inner bezel, providing a clear display of the minutes and tilted indexes. The distinctive arrow-shaped hands of the ARRAW product line accentuate the impression of depth and transparency. To complete the airy structure, the small seconds indicator located between 8 and 9 o’clock takes the form of the ultimate Spider-Man symbol, a red-lacquered spider.

Light, powerful and stealthy, the ARRAW Spider-Man watch adopts the Super Hero’s defining characteristics. Adorned by the iconic RJ BUMPERS™ in rubber, the 45 mm case made entirely of black carbon exudes a futuristic feel enhanced by the shimmering grey and anthracite tones. The case back in grade 5 titanium features a cartridge engraving technique that ensures excellent legibility. The polished letters stand out from the micro-blasted finishing of the case back, which adds depth to the engraving.

As an additional nod to the iconic Marvel Studios character, this new ARRAW Spider-Man watch offers a bold superpower of transformation thanks to its interchangeable strap system. Made of black polyamide and reinforced with a black rubber inlay, the strap recalls the ultra-resistant texture of the web-slinger’s suit. Embellished with the Spider icon, the stitching also recalls the pattern found on Spider-Man’s stealth suit.
