The result are watches with unique calibres built like engines. From this collaboration, several patents and World Premiere were registered by Roger Dubuis offering to its exclusive tribes models evoking the uncompromised machines made by the Italian brand of the bull. The collaboration is also the genesis of unique projects where the client sits with the manufacturer to create his or her very onw watch.
Inspired by the automotive world, the RD630 was developed specifically for the partnership with Lamborghini Squadra Corse. The calibre is built with a twin barrel power supply allowing it to reach a power reserve of 60 hours. The calibre structure is designed like a super-car engine with strut-bars forming a clear and visible visual signature. The rotor is designed like a super car wheel rim.
Ceramic Composite Fiber, or simply CCF, is a high-tech material exclusive to Roger Dubuis. Roger Dubuis developed this material offering a significant gain in weight with CCF being 20% lighter than carbon. Ceramic fibers are used in aerospace in the production of space rockets.
The strap of the watch is made of luminescent rubber. During the manufacturing process, the rubber is vulcanized with SLN. Luminescent material – SLN – is also applied on the bezel and the strut bars.
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Huracán Automatic is made in limited edition of 88 pieces, availabile exclusive in manufacturer’s boutique.
